A Magical Evening at Jazzoparc festival in Anduze: Lights, Music, and Dance
Music is good for the soul! We cannot be more grateful to all the artists that enhance our lives with music sung from their hearts! We recently posted our article on the amazing Blues scene we experienced while in London (that you can read here): Let us tell you! In London, like the famous Blues singer Little Milton would say, “The Blues is alright”.
We are here today to tell you about a annual Jazz event that happened in Anduze: It was a blast! The La Vie en Sud was represented there and here is the review of a splendid night!
Anduze is based in the South of France, a region that has a lot of history when it comes to music, including the fact that the area was once a place where the Rolling Stones used to hang out! Yes, you read that right - probably seeking inspiration from this sublime area!
Lets get back to the event and the evening in question: This enchanting festival, which was a true testament to the joys of summer, took place in the Parc des Cordeliers. Imagine: as the sun set on the gorgeous nearby Cévennes mountains, the park was transformed into a luminous wonderland, with colored lights casting a magical glow over the lush park land and beautiful trees. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation for the evening’s musical delights.
The Saturday night kicked off with performances by two incredible bands, Bonga from Angola and LA-33 from Colombia. Their lively, summery jazz sounds were the perfect accompaniment to the vibrant setting. The first band, Bongo (Angola), captivated the audience with their fusion of traditional rhythms and modern melodies, creating an irresistible urge to sway and dance. As the second band, Orquesta LA-33 (Colombia), took to the stage, the crowd's enthusiasm was infectious. Their upbeat, joyous urban salsa tunes had everyone moving and grooving, celebrating the warmth of the season.
The concerts, which concluded past midnight, left the crowd buzzing with energy, but the night was far from over. As the bands wrapped up their sets, DJ Sabor A Mi (Sophie Legay Penaloza), ,featuring DJ Rémy Kouadjo took over, seamlessly transitioning into a dance party that kept people on their feet into the early hours of the morning. The music was infectious, blending genres and eras, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The concert brought the world to Anduze!
